DHL Group and Neste Partner for Net-Zero Logistics by 2050
DHL Group and Neste have expanded their collaboration to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, with Neste supplying renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel
Renewable Fuels to Drive Decarbonization in Air and Road Transport

DHL Group and Neste have strengthened their partnership to accelerate decarbonization in logistics, targeting net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The collaboration will focus on Neste’s renewable diesel (“HVO100”) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to reduce emissions in DHL’s air and road transportation.
By 2030, DHL aims to electrify two-thirds of its last-mile delivery vehicles and increase sustainable fuel usage to over 30% across all transport modes. Neste will support these goals by supplying approximately 300,000 tons of unblended SAF annually by 2030 and exploring renewable diesel for road transport.
Yin Zou, EVP of Corporate Development at DHL Group, highlighted the partnership’s importance, stating, “This collaboration is a key step in our net-zero strategy, enabling innovative solutions for our sustainability goals and our customers.” Carl Nyberg of Neste added, “We are proud to support DHL’s leadership in reducing emissions with our renewable fuels.”
The companies have previously collaborated on sustainable aviation fuel and the ISCC Credit Transfer System, which tracks emission reductions from SAF. This agreement marks a significant step in their shared commitment to a greener future.
